Pakistan Re-Elected to UNCND for 4-Year Term

New York: Pakistan has been elected as a member of the UN Commission on Narcotic Drugs for a four-year term.

According to Radio Pakistan, Pakistan secured the highest number of votes in elections held at the United Nations Economic and Social Council in New York. Pakistan’s election to the commission reflects the trust reposed in it to play an active role in global counter-narcotics efforts.

Pakistan expressed gratification over the support received from the Economic and Social Council. The election signifies international confidence in Pakistan’s commitment to combating narcotics at a global level.
