Pakistan Ready to Play Role in Shaping Global Labour Market: Salik

Riyadh: Minister for Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development Chaudhry Salik Hussain announced that Pakistan is prepared to play a constructive role in shaping a fair, transparent, and resilient global labour market. He made these remarks while representing Pakistan at the 3rd Edition of the Global Labour Market Conference (GLMC) held in Riyadh.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Minister emphasized Pakistan’s commitment to modernizing its labour policies and enhancing skills development. He pointed out Pakistan’s focus on high-growth sectors including construction, healthcare, ICT, logistics, and emerging green jobs. He also underscored the importance of ethical recruitment, worker-centred mobility, and whole-of-government coordination on migration and skills policy.

Chaudhry Salik Hussain further reaffirmed Pakistan’s readiness to deepen cooperation with international partners. He discussed the co-design of skills pathways, digital mobility platforms, and ethical recruitment models that aim to translate policy ambitions into tangible employment outcomes.
