Pakistan Reaffirms Commitment to Child Protection at Global Conference.

Colombia: Pakistan has reiterated its commitment to safeguarding children’s rights and eliminating violence against them. This announcement was made by Ayesha Raza Farooq, the Chairperson of the National Commission on the Rights of Child, during her speech at the inaugural Global Ministerial Conference on Ending Violence Against Children held in Colombia.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Ayesha Raza Farooq emphasized Pakistan’s dedication to ensuring the safety of every child from all forms of violence through the enhancement and expansion of integrated child protection services.

Farooq highlighted that Pakistan is in the process of reinforcing and enforcing child protection laws. The government also plans to focus on developing a child-sensitive and gender-responsive workforce, equipped to provide timely support to children in need.
