Pakistan Reaffirms Commitment to Economic Transformation Through Global Practices

Islamabad: Pakistan has reiterated its commitment to adopting international best practices in an effort to advance its economic and social transformation agenda, with a particular focus on collaboration with Saudi Arabia. This dedication was articulated during a workshop titled “Saudi-Pak Economic Collaboration Taskforce – Pakistan Transformation.”

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the event saw participation from key figures such as Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb, Prime Minister’s Coordinator Rana Ehsan, Ambassador at Large Salman Ahmed, and Advisor to the Finance Minister Khurram Shehzad. Federal Secretaries, senior government officials from the federal level, and representatives from provincial governments also attended the workshop virtually.

During his address, the Finance Minister underscored the significance of learning from Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, which he described as a model of effective implementation strategies. He highlighted the focus areas of “People, Process, and Technology” and stressed the necessity of adopting practices that guarantee successful transformation outcomes while considering Pakistan’s distinct socio-economic landscape.

The Minister further stated that reforms need to be not only implemented but also institutionalized to ensure their permanence and resistance to reversal. The workshop marks a pivotal step in the ongoing collaboration between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia aimed at enhancing economic relations and sharing governance and transformation best practices.
