Bogota: Pakistan has reaffirmed its dedication to ending violence against children and ensuring a safer future for every child in the country. This commitment was highlighted at the first Global Ministerial Conference on Ending Violence Against Children, held in Bogotá, Colombia, where Pakistan was represented by Ayesha Raza Khan, Chairperson of the National Commission on the Rights of Child (NCRC) Pakistan, and Sarah Ahmad from CPWB Punjab.

According to Ministry of Human Rights, the conference saw participation from over 140 governments, child rights organizations, and UN bodies. During the event, the Pakistani representatives made a pledge to enhance integrated child protection services within the nation. They engaged with UNICEF leaders to further international endeavors aimed at safeguarding children worldwide.

The conference provided a platform for nations to exchange insights and strategies for combating violence against children. The commitment shown by Pakistan’s representatives underscores the country’s dedication to collaborating with global partners to devise effective solutions for child protection.
