Pakistan Reaffirms Commitment to Palestinian State Based on Pre-1967 Borders

New york: Pakistan has reaffirmed its support for a sovereign, independent State of Palestine based on pre-1967 borders, with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital, in line with UN resolutions and international law. This declaration was made by Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the UN, Ambassador Asim Iftikhar Ahmad, during his address to the Security Council regarding the ongoing situation in the Occupied Palestinian Territory.

According to Radio Pakistan, Ambassador Asim Iftikhar highlighted the fragile situation in the Occupied Palestinian Territory. He noted that two years of devastating conflict have taken a significant toll, and the fragile gains achieved since the October 2025 ceasefire are now at risk. The ambassador emphasized the importance of maintaining focus on the West Bank and Gaza, despite the delicate regional situation that demands attention.
