Pakistan Reaffirms Commitment to Peaceful Relations with Neighbors, Criticizes Indian Stance

Islamabad: Pakistan has reiterated its commitment to fostering cooperative relations with its neighbors, including India, while expressing concerns over India’s approach to dialogue and ongoing issues in Kashmir. At a weekly briefing, Foreign Office Spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch emphasized the importance of constructive engagement to address regional disputes.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Baloch stated that Pakistan is a proponent of dialogue and peaceful coexistence, highlighting its efforts to maintain stability in the region despite strained relations. She underscored that the resolution of outstanding issues, such as the Jammu and Kashmir dispute, requires political will, which she suggested is currently absent on India’s part.

Baloch raised alarm over the seizure of properties belonging to Kashmiri people in Indian-administered Jammu and Kashmir. She described these actions as attempts to intimidate and punish Kashmiris for their political views and called on India to halt property seizures and adhere to international obligations.

Additionally, Baloch commented on the situation in Syria, expressing concern that recent developments could destabilize the region and empower terrorist groups. She urged the international community to promote peace, security, and the sovereignty of Syria to ensure regional stability.
