Pakistan Reaffirms Opposition to Chemical Weapons Use

New york: Pakistan has reiterated its firm opposition to the use of chemical weapons by anyone under any circumstances. The stance was expressed by Pakistan’s Deputy Permanent Representative to the UN, Ambassador Usman Jadoon, at the Security Council briefing on the Middle East.

According to Radio Pakistan, Ambassador Jadoon stated that Pakistan supports calls for universal adherence to the Chemical Weapons Convention and for its full, effective, and non-discriminatory implementation. He emphasized that strengthening the Convention remains essential to upholding international norms against chemical weapons.
