Pakistan Reaffirms Support for Kashmir Amid Global Diplomatic Outreach

Islamabad: The government and people of Pakistan are observing Kashmir Solidarity Day with a renewed pledge to support the Kashmiri people in their struggle for self-determination.

According to a statement by Kashmir Media Service, Foreign Office Spokesperson Shafqat Ali Khan emphasized Pakistan’s consistent moral, diplomatic, and political backing for the Kashmir cause. Messages from the President, Prime Minister, Deputy Prime Minister, and Foreign Minister reinforced the country’s commitment to the Kashmiri struggle.

Diplomatic efforts include letters from the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister to the UN Security Council and General Assembly presidents, the UN Secretary-General, the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, and the OIC Secretary-General. These communications urge action on the situation in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir and call for the implementation of UN Security Council resolutions.

A special briefing in Islamabad was organized to inform foreign diplomats about the situation in the region. The Foreign Secretary and ministry officials also took part in a solidarity walk at Constitution Avenue to commemorate the day.

Pakistani diplomatic missions around the world are conducting seminars, webinars, rallies, and exhibitions to spotlight human rights issues in the occupied territory and show solidarity with the Kashmiri people.
