Pakistan Reaffirms Support for Kashmiris Amid Tensions with India

Muzaffarabad: Pakistan’s Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir has reiterated the nation’s support for Kashmiris, emphasizing their struggle against what he described as state-sponsored repression. During a visit to Muzaffarabad, the general paid tribute to the sacrifices made by martyrs in the region.

According to a statement by Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, General Munir engaged with notable figures and veterans from Kashmir, stressing Pakistan’s commitment to the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir. He expressed confidence that Kashmir would eventually gain freedom and align with Pakistan, driven by the will and destiny of its people.

The Army Chief criticized rising Hindutva extremism in India, stating that it only bolsters the resolve of Kashmiris in their fight for self-determination. At the Jammu and Kashmir Monument, General Munir laid a floral wreath and honored the sacrifices of those who have died for the cause.

General Munir also praised the dedication and readiness of officers and soldiers stationed in Kashmir, highlighting their morale and vigilance under challenging conditions. He underscored the importance of maintaining operational preparedness to deter any hostile actions.
