Pakistan Refutes Indian Claims of Killing Former SSG Havildar

Rawalpindi:Director General ISPR Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry has rejected Indian claims that a former Pakistani SSG Havildar was killed during a recent operation.

According to Radio Pakistan, General Chaudhry addressed a news conference where he presented the retired SSG Havildar, Muhammad Asif, alive to the media. Asif, identified by the Indian military as a Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorist named Hashim Musa, has been living in Attock since his retirement in 2023. He expressed surprise at the false reports of his death.

The DG ISPR criticized the Indian military’s claims as part of a pattern of false flag operations designed to deflect attention from its own activities. General Chaudhry accused India of being the largest sponsor of terrorism globally, targeting the region and its minorities, particularly Muslims.

He further emphasized that such unfounded claims by India should be backed with evidence and invited India to present any proof through appropriate channels. Pakistan, he reiterated, is ready to respond to any aggression and will not tolerate attempts to tarnish its image through fabricated stories.

Regarding security concerns from Afghanistan, General Chaudhry stated that Pakistan’s stance on territorial integrity is uncompromising. While clarifying that there is no animosity towards the Afghan people, he highlighted issues with the Taliban regime in Afghanistan, describing it as non-inclusive and non-elected.

In response to questions about international alliances, he reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to the Makkah Alliance and the protection of Harmain al-Sharifain and Saudi Arabia.
