Pakistan Reiterates Commitment to Global Peace Amid Terrorism Concerns

Islamabad: Chairman Senate Syed Yousuf Raza Gillani emphasized that terrorism remains one of Pakistan’s gravest threats and highlighted its elimination as crucial for peace and stability. Speaking at the concluding session of the Inter-Parliamentary Speakers’ Conference, he condemned the recent terrorist attacks in Islamabad and Wana.

According to Radio Pakistan, Gillani stressed that terrorists have no religion and are considered enemies of humanity. He articulated that the fight against terrorism necessitates not only military measures but also parliamentary cooperation, financial oversight, and collective critical efforts.

Gillani acknowledged the tremendous sacrifices Pakistan has made in the fight against terrorism, noting the loss of thousands of innocent lives and the country’s position as one of the most affected by this menace. He reaffirmed Pakistan’s firm commitment to global peace, stability, and dialogue, highlighting the pivotal role of parliament in promoting understanding and cooperation.
