Pakistan Rejects Indian Allegations About Damage to Hindu Temple in Narowal

Islamabad: Pakistan has categorically rejected the false and politically motivated assertions made by the Indian Ministry of External Affairs regarding the Hindu temple at Adda Siraj, Narowal. Responding to media queries, Foreign Office Spokesperson Sajjad Haider Khan clarified that, contrary to India’s claims, the temple’s structure was damaged on 21st July this year due to torrential rains. He emphasized that local authorities have already surveyed the rain damage and initiated steps for the restoration of the building.

According to Radio Pakistan, the spokesperson criticized India for distorting facts and engaging in what he described as “cheap gimmicks.” He stated that such deliberate misrepresentations cannot distract from India’s record of systematic persecution of minorities and state-sponsored attacks against their places of worship.

The spokesperson further highlighted that the global community is well aware of the weaponization of Hindutva ideology against minorities. He called for the world to hold the Indian leadership accountable for the persecution faced by Muslim, Sikh, and Christian communities.
