Pakistan, Russia to Strengthen Economic and Diplomatic Relations Through Enhanced Cooperation

Islamabad: Pakistan and Russia have committed to deepening their economic and diplomatic relations by enhancing dialogue and cooperation across various sectors, including trade, industry, energy, connectivity, science, technology, and education. This resolution came as a result of high-level talks held in Islamabad between Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar of Pakistan and his Russian counterpart, Alexei Overchuk.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the discussions reviewed a broad range of bilateral cooperation areas and reaffirmed the two nations’ commitment to continue coordination on multilateral fora, including at the United Nations and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization. The meeting underscored the mutual desire to transform bilateral relations into a strong, economically beneficial partnership, aligning with the vision of Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Russia’s President Vladimir Putin.

The visit of Deputy Prime Minister Alexei Overchuk to Islamabad marks a significant step in pursuit of this renewed bilateral agenda, aiming to lay down a framework for future collaboration and mutual support between the two countries.
