Pakistan, Rwanda vow to strengthen bilateral ties

Pakistan and Rwanda have expressed the resolve to further strengthen bilateral engagement and cooperation in the economic domain especially in trade, investment and people to people exchanges.

This commitment was expressed at a meeting between Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Rwanda Olivier J.P. Nduhungirehe, on the sidelines of Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting in Apia, Samoa.

Both the sides noted the positive trajectory in Pakistan-Rawanda ties based on mutual respect and shared values.

Noting the recent visits by the President of the Senate and the Chief of Defence Staff of Rawanda, Ishaq Dar expressed Pakistan’s keen desire to strengthen friendly relations with Rwanda. He also congratulated Rwanda for opening a High Commission in Islamabad.

Echoing the sentiments of Ishaq Dar, Foreign Minister Olivier J.P. Nduhungirehe invited Pakistani businessmen to avail investment opportunities in Rwanda.
