Pakistan Seeks Czech Expertise in Clean Coal, Carbon Capture

Islamabad: Director General of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Czech Republic David Muller met with Minister for Petroleum Ali Pervaiz Malik to discuss potential partnerships in energy and mineral resources sectors.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Minister expressed Pakistan’s interest in leveraging Czech Republic’s expertise in clean coal and carbon capture technologies, highlighting their environmental benefits. He emphasized that Europe represents a significant market for Pakistan, and that partnerships are being encouraged to boost trade volume.

David Muller acknowledged the potential for cooperation between the Czech Republic and Pakistan in the energy and other sectors. In a related development, Kazakhstan’s Vice Minister for Energy Arymbek Kudaibergen also met with Ali Pervaiz Malik. The two sides agreed to strengthen bilateral cooperation in the energy sector, with the Vice Minister being briefed on opportunities for oil and gas exploration. Ali Pervaiz Malik underscored the importance of Pakistan’s relations with Kazakhstan.
