Pakistan Seeks Stronger Bilateral Ties with Sri Lanka: Tarar

Islamabad: Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar says Pakistan looks forward to further strengthening and deepening bilateral ties with Sri Lanka. He was addressing a ceremony held in Islamabad in connection with Sri Lanka’s Independence Day.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Minister for Information extended heartfelt congratulations to the people and government of Sri Lanka on their Independence Day. He emphasized that Pakistan deeply values its long, historic, and brotherly ties with Sri Lanka, highlighting how the two countries have consistently supported each other over the years.

Attaullah Tarar pointed out that Pakistan and Sri Lanka share cordial ties across various fields, including the economy, culture, and sports, especially cricket and professional trainings. He noted that these areas of collaboration have been pivotal in fostering a strong relationship between the two nations.

The Minister also mentioned Pakistan’s role as a proud partner in enhancing the capabilities of the Sri Lankan armed forces. He stated that a significant number of free training seats are offered in Pakistan’s training institutions for Sri Lankan professionals, reflecting the commitment to mutual growth and cooperation.
