Pakistan Seeks Stronger Ties with Azerbaijan, Says Gilani

Baku: A parliamentary delegation led by Chairman Senate Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani held a meeting with President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev in Baku to discuss bilateral relations and the regional situation. During the meeting, the Chairman Senate emphasized Pakistan’s pride in its relationship with Azerbaijan, highlighting the religious, cultural, and historical connections that bind the two nations.

According to Radio Pakistan, Yousuf Raza Gilani expressed Pakistan’s desire to further strengthen its ties with Azerbaijan. He pointed out that high-level exchanges between the two countries would enhance public diplomacy and foster mutual understanding.

The Chairman Senate also briefed the President of Azerbaijan about the Special Investment Facilitation Council, outlining the investment opportunities available in various sectors of Pakistan, including agriculture, energy, and mining.
