Pakistan Seeks to Enhance Bilateral Relations with Russia, Announces Energy Minister

Islamabad: Pakistan is seeking to strengthen its bilateral relations with Russia through enhanced cultural ties, sports, and human resource development, Awais Ahmed Khan Leghari. In an interview with Russian media, Leghari emphasized Pakistan’s desire to expand these areas of collaboration.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Leghari announced plans for a trial freight train set to operate between Pakistan and Russia starting in March. Additionally, there are considerations for establishing direct air services between the two nations to improve connectivity and foster business opportunities. Leghari also highlighted the potential benefits of closer regional cooperation with member countries within the BRICS framework.
