Pakistan Sends Thirteenth Aid Consignment to War-Torn Gaza and Lebanon

Islamabad: In continuation of its humanitarian efforts, Pakistan has dispatched its thirteenth consignment of aid to the people of Gaza and Lebanon, as part of a series initiated by the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) under the directives of the Prime Minister.

According to Press Information Department, the latest shipment includes 100 tons of winterized tents and blankets, airlifted from Islamabad to Amman, Jordan, for onward delivery to Gaza. This brings the total aid sent to 1,381 tons since the start of the relief operations. The dispatch ceremony at Islamabad International Airport was attended by notable figures including Parliamentarian Barrister Aqeel Malik, Palestinian Ambassador to Pakistan H.E. Mr. Zuhair M. H. Darzaid, and representatives from NDMA, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Armed Forces.

During the ceremony, speakers highlighted the critical situation in Gaza and Lebanon due to ongoing conflicts and stressed the need for continued support. The Palestinian Ambassador expressed profound gratitude towards the people of Pakistan for their consistent support and described it as a symbol of hope and solidarity between the nations. Additionally, the Government of Pakistan has established the “Prime Minister’s Relief Fund for Gaza and Lebanon” to garner public donations for further aid, demonstrating its commitment to assisting those affected by the conflicts.
