Karachi, March 25, 2014 (PPI-OT): Pakistan Standards Quality Control Authority is keen to support activities, promoting Quality Standards in Pakistan; therefore we have been continuing participating and supporting Quality Standard Award activity since its establishment in 2010 to promote Quality Standard Culture in Pakistan. Quality standard award is a tribute to honour businessmen and industries of our country, Award is strengthening relationship of trust among consumer products and service providers. The trust between the manufactures and the consumers will boost the production, resulting sound economic footings to the country. In my opinion Quality Standard Award is not merely the name of an award, but of a comprehensive activity.
The purpose of this activity is not only to ensure our economic survival but also to establish our economic identities across the world through our popular Products and Services by maintaining Quality Standard. Keeping the inimitable nature of this maiden initiative in view, I would like to extend my full support and patronage to this activity.” this was stated by Mr. Pir Bakhsh Jamali, Director General, Pakistan Standards Quality Control Authority (PSQCA)” in his message in 4th Quality Standard Award 2013 and the Seminar on Theme of 44th World Standards Day “International Standards Ensure Positive Change” jointly organized by The Consumers Eye Pakistan (TCEP) and Pakistan Standards and Quality Control Authority (PSQCA) Ministry of Science and Technology Government of Pakistan on occasion of distribution ceremony of 4th Quality Standard Award 2013 held in Karachi.
Director General and Pakistan Standards and Quality Control Authority’s message was read in the Seminar on occasion of distribution ceremony of 4th Quality Standard Award. Pir Bakhsh Jamali admires the efforts of The Consumers Eye Pakistan (TCEP), Pakistan Standards and Quality Control Authority and other organizers of Quality Standard Award.
Pir Bakhsh Jamali further stated that, PSQCA has been established to advise the Government on standardization policies, programmes and activities to promote industrial efficiency and development, as well as for consumer protection.
The growing recognition that standardization practices are important to product performance and safety has resulted in increased demand for PSQCA’s product certification services, programs and expertise. I would like to congratulate the awardees of Quality Standard Award, organizers The Consumers Eye Pakistan, Pakistan Standards Quality Control Authority for their initiative to organize the consecutive fourth successful mega event on occasion of 44th World Standard Day celebrations.
