Islamabad: Chairman Senate Syed Yousuf Raza Gillani has affirmed Pakistan’s unwavering support for the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) in their struggle for self-determination. He emphasized that Pakistan will not retreat from its stance on the Kashmir issue.
According to Radio Pakistan, Gillani made these remarks while addressing a delegation of local government representatives from various parts of Azad Jammu and Kashmir in Islamabad. He praised the sacrifices made by the Kashmiri people in their quest for freedom and justice.
Gillani stressed the importance of a peaceful resolution to the Kashmir dispute in accordance with United Nations resolutions. He urged India to abandon its inflexible approach and recognize the legitimate rights of the Kashmiri people.
Furthermore, Gillani called on the international community to acknowledge the ongoing human rights violations in IIOJK. He urged global leaders to take tangible steps to ensure the protection and fundamental rights of the Kashmiri population.
