Pakistan to Bridge South and Central Asian Economies: Aleem

Moscow: Minister for Communications Abdul Aleem Khan announced that Pakistan is positioning itself to become a pivotal transit hub, linking the economies of South Asia and Central Asia.

According to Radio Pakistan, during his address at the closing session of the Kazan Forum in Russia, Khan highlighted the operational status of Gawadar Port, which has commenced shipment and cargo services. He emphasized Pakistan’s strategic intention to facilitate Central Asia’s access to warm waters, enhancing regional trade connectivity.

In his remarks, the Minister also outlined the anticipated Mazar-i-Sharif to Kohat Railway Project, which is estimated to require an investment of approximately 633 million dollars. This project is part of Pakistan’s broader efforts to strengthen economic ties and infrastructure connectivity between South and Central Asia.
