Pakistan to Safeguard Sovereignty Amidst Regional Tensions

Islamabad: Pakistan’s Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Attaullah Tarar, has affirmed the nation’s commitment to employing all necessary measures to protect its sovereignty and ensure the security of its citizens.

According to Radio Pakistan, Tarar expressed gratitude to Turkiye and Qatar for their roles in mediating regional discussions. He emphasized that Afghanistan holds a responsibility to fulfill its long-standing international, regional, and bilateral commitments to control terrorism, a responsibility in which Afghanistan has so far not succeeded.

Tarar further clarified that Pakistan does not hold any animosity towards the Afghan populace. However, he stated that Pakistan will not support any actions by the Afghan Taliban regime that could harm the interests of the Afghan people or neighboring countries.
