Pakistan, Turkiye Share Bond of Fraternity, Brotherhood: PM

Islamabad: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif emphasized the historic bond of fraternity and brotherhood between Pakistan and Turkiye, stating that the two nations are friends and brothers forever. He was speaking at a ceremony in Islamabad to mark Republic Day of Turkiye.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Prime Minister highlighted Turkiye’s unwavering support for Pakistan during challenging times, including wars and natural calamities. He specifically noted Turkiye’s steadfast support during Pakistan’s recent war with India, describing it as a testament to their brotherhood. Additionally, he acknowledged Turkish support during the devastating floods in Pakistan.

The Prime Minister discussed the growing economic, strategic, and defense cooperation between the two countries. He referenced his visit to Turkiye and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s visit to Pakistan, during which both leaders resolved to share in each other’s sorrows and happiness.

Shehbaz Sharif also remarked that today’s Turkiye represents a blend of modernity with traditional Turkish heritage and civilization.
