Pakistan, Vietnam to Boost Ties in Halal Seafood Sector

Karachi: Pakistan and Vietnam have agreed to expand cooperation in the Halal seafood industry, signaling a new chapter in bilateral trade relations between the two countries. The agreement was reached during a meeting involving the Ambassador of Vietnam to Pakistan, Pham Anh Tuan, representatives of the Pakistan Fisheries Exporters Association, and Director General of Marine Fisheries Department, Dr. Mansoor Ali Wassan.

According to Radio Pakistan, Dr. Wassan informed the participants that Pakistan’s seafood exports to Vietnam reached 9 million dollars in 2024, marking a 20 percent increase over the previous year. This development highlights the growing trade relations between the two nations and underscores the potential for further cooperation in the seafood sector.
