Pakistan Wants to Improve Bilateral Ties with Russia: Leghari.

Islamabad: Minister for Energy Awais Ahmed Khan Leghari has expressed Pakistan’s desire to enhance cultural relations, sports collaborations, and human resource development with Russia. In an interview with the Russian media, the minister outlined several initiatives aimed at strengthening bilateral ties between the two nations.

According to Radio Pakistan, Leghari revealed plans for a trial freight train that will run between Pakistan and Russia starting in March. This initiative is part of a broader strategy to improve connectivity and promote business exchange. Additionally, Pakistan is considering the establishment of direct air services with Russia to further enhance connectivity.

The minister highlighted the potential benefits of closer regional cooperation within the BRICS framework, suggesting that Pakistan stands to gain significantly from such collaboration with member countries. This approach aligns with Pakistan’s broader objective of fostering stronger regional ties and tapping into new economi
