Pakistan, WB to sustain recent improvements in disbursements

Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb met with Managing Director of Operations at World Bank Ms. Anna Bjerde in Washington DC and discussed Pakistan’s development priorities.

The Finance Minister briefed Ms. Bjerde on the Joint Domestic Resource Mobilization Initiative (JDRMI), launched with the support of the World Bank and IMF.

The Minister appreciated that the Bank was considering a grant facility for project preparation.

Both sides agreed to continue efforts to sustain recent improvements in disbursements.
