Pakistan Welcomes Positive Trajectory of Developments in Syria

Islamabad: At the United Nations, Pakistan has welcomed the positive trajectory of developments in Syria, expressing support for the country’s stabilization efforts for integration into the international community.

According to Radio Pakistan, speaking at the Security Council briefing, Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the UN, Asim Iftikhar Ahmed, strongly condemned Israel’s continued violations of Syria’s sovereignty, including military incursions, arbitrary arrests, and destruction of property and livelihoods.

He also denounced the recently announced five-year settlement expansion plan in the occupied Syrian Golan, describing it as illegal under international law.
