Houston: The Pakistani American community in Houston marked Pakistan’s 79th Independence Day with an exuberant celebration at the Arts, Culture and Taste Pakistan Festival 2025. The festival showcased the rich cultural heritage of Pakistan through a variety of performances and activities, drawing a large crowd from across the city.
According to Radio Pakistan, Pakistan’s Ambassador to the US, Rizwan Saeed Sheikh, addressed the attendees during the event. He highlighted Pakistan’s economic progress, noting that the country’s economic turnaround is being validated by improved rankings from international rating agencies.
The Ambassador also spoke on the state of Pakistan-U.S. relations, affirming that the partnership is on a positive and upward trajectory. He emphasized the importance of the Pakistani American diaspora, describing them as the strongest bond between the two nations, and encouraged them to continue contributing towards strengthening bilateral ties.
