Pakistani and Kyrgyz Ministers Explore Educational Collaboration: Aiming for Enhanced Bilateral Ties

Islamabad: Pakistan and Kyrgyzstan are set to explore new avenues for bilateral cooperation, particularly in the fields of technology, education, and research. This was emphasized by Pakistan’s Minister for Education and Professional Training, Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, during a meeting with a high-powered Kyrgyz delegation led by Minister of Education and Science Ms. Dogdurkul Kendirbaeva.

According to a statement by Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Siddiqui welcomed the Kyrgyz delegation and highlighted the role of the International Conference on Girl’s Education in bringing Islamic countries closer. He expressed enthusiasm for enhanced cooperation between Pakistan and Kyrgyzstan in education, discussing the potential for exchanging expertise and knowledge in vocational and technical training.

Siddiqui underscored the importance of digital solutions in addressing public education challenges, specifically mentioning the E-Taleem and Teleschool platforms developed by Pakistan’s Ministry of Education. He also suggested that both nations consider collaboration on multilateral platforms such as the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO).

Ms. Dogdurkul Kendirbaeva acknowledged the deep connections between the people of Kyrgyzstan and Pakistan. She advocated for increased university-to-university and technical institution collaborations, and briefed Siddiqui on a successful digital learning platform being utilized in Kyrgyzstan.

The meeting was also attended by the Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Pakistan, Avazbek Atakhanov, further emphasizing the commitment to strengthening bilateral ties between the two countries.
