Islamabad: Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have formalized the annual Hajj agreement for 2025, aiming to improve facilities for Pakistani pilgrims. The agreement, signed by officials from both countries, outlines measures to enhance the pilgrimage experience for 179,210 Pakistani pilgrims this year.
According to a statement by Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the agreement was signed by Pakistan’s Federal Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, Chaudhry Salik Hussain, and Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Dr. Tawfiq bin Fawzan al-Rabiah. The agreement emphasizes the provision of better services and accommodations for Pakistani pilgrims.
The agreement includes a commitment to offer special accommodation in Mina at reduced rates, ensuring a more comfortable experience for pilgrims. Dr. Tawfiq bin Fawzan al-Rabiah assured that Saudi Arabia would provide all possible support to enhance the facilities for Pakistani pilgrims during their pilgrimage.
The signing of this agreement marks a significant step in bilateral cooperation between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, focusing on the well-being of Pakistani citizens undertaking the Hajj pilgrimage.
