Pakistani Rupee Fluctuates Against Major Currencies

Islamabad: The Pakistani Rupee experienced varied movements against major international currencies, according to the latest weighted average customer exchange rates released by the State Bank of Pakistan. The US dollar, a key indicator, closed at a buying rate of 281.2658 and a selling rate of 281.6977 rupees.

The British pound saw a slight strengthening against the rupee, trading at 383.6514 for buying and 384.2340 for selling. Similarly, the Euro ended the day at 333.3414 and 333.8464 for buying and selling, respectively.

Among other significant currencies, the Canadian dollar stood at 204.5008 and 204.8094, while the Australian dollar reached 187.6938 and 187.9825 for buying and selling. The Swiss franc continued to be a strong currency against the rupee, closing at 357.2833 and 357.8476.

The Japanese yen remained comparatively weaker at 1.9194 and 1.9222, whereas the Chinese yuan concluded the day at 39.5727 and 39.6244. The UAE dirham was exchanged at 76.5799 and 76.6895 while the Saudi riyal settled at 74.9781 and 75.0892. These fluctuations reflect the ongoing dynamics in the international currency market and their impact on the Pakistani Rupee.
