Pakistan’s Defense Minister Asserts Right to Use Resources for Defense Needs

Islamabad: Pakistan’s Minister for Defense, Khawaja Muhammad Asif, has reiterated the country’s right to use its resources to meet defense requirements. He also called on leaders of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party to prioritize national interests during a discussion on a private television network.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Asif remarked that PTI had been implicated in the unrest observed on May 9, emphasizing that such activities should not recur. The minister highlighted that the government has initiated a dialogue process with PTI, asserting that this move aligns with the broader national interest.
