Pakistan’s Economic Progress Highlighted by IT Minister

Lahore: Federal Minister for Information Technology, Shaza Fatima Khawaja, has stated that Pakistan’s economy is moving in the right direction due to the government’s effective efforts. She emphasized the positive economic indicators during a news conference in Lahore.

According to Radio Pakistan, Shaza Fatima Khawaja highlighted that the policy rate and price hike ratio have seen a considerable reduction, while remittances have increased. She also noted the significant boost in IT sector exports, and mentioned that Pakistan anticipates investment in the IT sector to reach 700 million dollars in the coming years.

Further, Shaza Fatima Khawaja shared that Pakistan has surpassed the milestone of 200 million mobile subscribers. The government aims to ensure that every mobile user has access to the internet, reflecting a commitment to enhancing digital connectivity across the nation.
