Gujranwala: Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal has stated that Pakistan’s economy is progressing in a positive direction. Addressing the Gujranwala Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Iqbal highlighted key economic indicators that suggest a favorable economic trajectory.
According to Radio Pakistan, Ahsan Iqbal noted that the stock exchange has reached an all-time high, indicating strong market performance. Furthermore, he emphasized the significant reduction in the bank interest rate, which has decreased from twenty-three percent to eleven percent, suggesting improved economic conditions.
Iqbal also pointed out the growing confidence of overseas Pakistanis in the government’s economic policies, as evidenced by record remittances being sent to the country. He attributed a substantial part of the economic progress to the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), which he stated is transforming Pakistan’s fortunes with investments worth billions of rupees flowing into the country.
