Pakistan’s Envoy to Turkey Pledges Continued Support for Kashmir

Ankara: Dr. Yusuf Junaid, Pakistan’s Ambassador to Turkey, reiterated his nation’s steadfast support for the Kashmiri cause, vowing to maintain this stance until the dispute is resolved through United Nations mechanisms.

According to Kashmir Media Service, during an event at the Institute of Strategic Thinking (SDE) in Ankara, Dr. Junaid highlighted the ongoing challenges in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK). He stressed the deployment of Indian forces in the region as against the Kashmiri people’s wishes, emphasizing the need for a solution based on United Nations Security Council resolutions to achieve lasting regional and global peace. Furthermore, Dr. Junaid appreciated the consistent support from Turkey on this issue.

Alper Tan, Vice President of SDE, echoed this sentiment by affirming Turkey’s commitment to a peaceful resolution that aligns with the Kashmiri people’s aspirations.

In a subsequent discussion, diplomat Nauman Hazar expressed concerns about the global neglect of the crises in Kashmir and Palestine. The session concluded with attendees reasserting their dedication to resolving the Kashmir issue in accordance with international law and the Kashmiri populace’s desires.
