Pakistan’s Information Minister Commits to Strengthening International Relations and Boosting Investments

Islamabad: Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar has declared that the government’s concerted efforts with state institutions are yielding positive results, as evidenced by increasing investments from friendly nations globally. In a recent interview, Tarar highlighted the transition from previous international isolation to active diplomatic engagements and an inviting business environment.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Tarar underscored the government’s determination to enhance Pakistan’s diplomatic relations and improve its global standing. This commitment is aligned with recent successful discussions with leaders such as the Saudi Crown Prince and the Emir of Qatar, which are paving the way for economic stability and stronger international ties.

Furthermore, the Minister detailed the progression of several memorandums of understanding, notably with Saudi Arabia, where numerous projects have commenced. He also mentioned the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) entering a new phase and the increase in investments from countries like the UAE and Qatar. Improved relations with Russia and Central Asian nations were also highlighted, alongside burgeoning trade intentions with Vietnam.

Tarar reiterated the government’s steadfast approach to counter terrorism and its readiness to support regional governments, particularly in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, in enhancing their counterterrorism capabilities. The successful hosting of the SCO Summit was presented as proof of the international community’s renewed trust in Pakistan’s capabilities to manage significant global events.

Addressing domestic politics, Tarar criticized the PTI’s continued protests, noting the party’s internal divisions and declining public support, which he believes contradict the country’s overall positive trajectory.
