Pakistan’s Interior Minister Vows Firm Response to Armed Opposition

HOUSTON: Pakistan’s Interior Minister, Mohsin Naqvi, emphasized a strong response to any armed opposition against Pakistan during his visit to the United States, where he sought to develop an effective anti-terrorism strategy with American political leaders.

According to a statement by Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Naqvi highlighted the positive outcomes of his meetings with members of the US Congress. He stressed that terrorism is a collective issue, not solely Pakistan’s concern, and underscored the importance of international cooperation in addressing it.

Naqvi warned that individuals taking up arms against Pakistan would face a firm response. He also expressed concern about the incitement of United States House of Representatives members against Pakistan and urged that political differences should not escalate to a level that harms the country.

Addressing recent allegations, Naqvi rejected claims that he participated in any anti-China events during his US visit, labeling such accusations as unfounded.
