Pakistan’s Port Performance Improves Under Maritime Reforms

Karachi: Significant improvements are being witnessed in Pakistan’s port performance, trade, and cargo handling under the Prime Minister’s Task Force for Maritime Reforms. Greater self-reliance in dredging has enabled the country to maintain the required depth at its ports.

According to Radio Pakistan, further expansion of dredging capacity is planned to improve vessel movement and cargo flow at the ports. Financial receipts have increased as a result of port reforms, with seven billion rupees recovered this year compared to three billion rupees last year.
