Pakistan’s Relief Consignment for Gaza Arrives in Egypt

Islamabad: Pakistan’s relief consignment to Gaza, carrying one hundred tonnes of relief supplies, has arrived at El-Arish International Airport, Egypt. The consignment was dispatched via a chartered aircraft under the special directives of Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, by Pakistan’s National Disaster Management Authority in collaboration with Al-Khidmat Foundation.

According to Radio Pakistan, officials from the Embassy of Pakistan in Cairo received the relief consignment and handed it over to the Egyptian Red Crescent Society for onward dispatch to Palestinian citizens inside Gaza. The total humanitarian assistance provided to Gaza residents by the Government and people of Pakistan so far has reached one-thousand nine-hundred and fifteen tonnes. More consignments are on their way and will be delivered in the coming days to Palestinians inside Gaza.

The Government and people of Pakistan, with highly commendable contributions from Al-Khidmat Foundation, will continue to provide much-needed humanitarian assistance to their Palestinian brethren.
