Pakistan’s Responsible Stance Highlighted by Senate Chairman

Multan: Chairman Senate Syed Yousuf Raza Gillani has stated that Pakistan acted as a responsible nuclear state by showing restraint during recent tensions with India. He emphasized that the nation’s political and military leadership consistently demonstrated commendable control in the face of rising tensions.

According to Radio Pakistan, Gillani, while addressing the media in Multan, expressed the nation’s gratitude towards the Armed Forces of Pakistan for their courage and sacrifices in defending the country. He highlighted the collective respect and recognition given to the armed forces for their role in maintaining national security.

In response to a query, Gillani mentioned that on the diplomatic front, Pakistan Peoples Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari effectively articulated Pakistan’s standpoint during his recent visit to the United States. He noted that Bhutto Zardari’s efforts were significant in presenting Pakistan’s narrative on the international stage.
