Lahore: Chairman Senate Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani has emphasized that Pakistan’s rice industry plays a pivotal role in the national economy. Addressing the 17th Export Trophy Awards ceremony organized by the Rice Exporters Association of Pakistan in Lahore, he paid tribute to the services of farmers and exporters, particularly those involved in rice cultivation and trade.

According to Radio Pakistan, Chairman Senate highlighted the importance of maintaining Pakistan’s global reputation in rice production. He stressed the need for modern farming practices, greater investment in research, and the development of climate-resilient rice varieties to ensure the industry’s continued contribution to the national economy.
