Pakistan’s Solidarity Day Sends Strong Message to India, Says APHC-AJK

Muzaffarabad: All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) chapter has asserted that Pakistan’s observance of Solidarity Day delivers a clear message to India, affirming the unwavering support of the Pakistani people and government for their Kashmiri counterparts.

According to a statement by Kashmir Media Service, APHC-AJK organized a significant public gathering in Muzaffarabad in conjunction with Kashmir Solidarity Day, led by Convenor Ghulam Muhammad Safi. The event saw participation from Speaker AJK Assembly Choudhary Latif Akbar, Amir of Jamaat-e-Islami AJK Mushtaq Ahmad Khan, Chairman of United Movement Muhammad Rizwan, government ministers of Azad Kashmir, as well as numerous women and students.

Speakers at the gathering emphasized Pakistan’s consistent political, diplomatic, and moral support for the Kashmiri people, who they noted have been engaged in a struggle against India’s occupation for 77 years. They highlighted Pakistan’s efforts to advocate for Kashmiris on international platforms, urging the recognition of their right to self-determination. The observance of Kashmir Solidarity Day each year, they said, reinforces Pakistan’s commitment to stand with Kashmiris in their quest for justice.

The speakers reiterated the deep connection between Kashmiris and Pakistanis, underscoring that no external force could sever their bond. They emphasized the unity between the people of Pakistan and Kashmir in the ongoing freedom struggle.

The event also addressed concerns over India’s actions in Jammu and Kashmir, denouncing human rights violations, war crimes, and the undermining of the region’s Islamic identity. Participants voiced their rejection of decisions made by the Indian Lok Sabha on August 5, 2019, and criticized the Indian Supreme Court’s rulings on December 11, 2023.

The speakers called upon the United Nations Security Council to take an active role in resolving the Kashmir issue in accordance with its resolutions.
