Pakistan’s Youth Delegation Advocates for Greater Inclusion at UN ECOSOC Youth Forum

New york: Pakistan’s youth delegation has participated in the UN ECOSOC Youth Forum 2026, held at the United Nations Headquarters in New York. The delegation was nominated by the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme.

According to Radio Pakistan, the delegation called for expanding the participation of youth in governance, scaling up investment in education and decent work, and strengthening youth leadership in peacebuilding and climate action. The Pakistan delegation engaged actively throughout the three-day forum, participating in plenary sessions, contributing to thematic and side events, moderating discussions in parallel sessions, and holding bilateral and multilateral meetings with key stakeholders.

On this occasion, Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the UN, Ambassador Asim Iftikhar Ahmad, stated that the participation of Pakistan’s youth delegation at the ECOSOC Youth Forum 2026 ensured their meaningful inclusion in global development discussions, while advancing youth-led solutions for sustainable development at home and internationally.
