Islamabad: In a symbolic move, the Parliament House of Pakistan has been illuminated in orange lights to mark the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence. This initiative, spearheaded by MNA Dr. Shahida Rehmani, Secretary of the Women’s Parliamentary Caucus, underscores Pakistan’s commitment to combating violence against women and girls.

According to National Assembly of Pakistan, the orange illumination is intended to represent a future free from violence and a collective stand against gender-based discrimination. This action aligns with the global theme of the 16 Days of Activism campaign and highlights the role of parliamentarians in advocating for gender equality and justice.
