PCJCCI Advocates for China Desks to Boost Pakistan-China Economic Ties

Lahore: The Pakistan China Joint Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCJCCI) has proposed the establishment of “China Desks” at public organizations throughout Pakistan to enhance industrial cooperation and bilateral investment under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).

Nazir Hussain, President of PCJCCI, emphasized the chamber’s alignment with industrial development goals and its role as a platform for fostering collaboration between Pakistan and China.

The proposed China Desks would serve as facilitation points, offering Chinese investors centralized access to regulatory support and business services, thereby improving investor confidence and reducing procedural delays.

Brig. Mansoor Saeed Sheikh (Retd), Senior Vice President of PCJCCI, highlighted the need to integrate private-sector strengths with supportive policy frameworks to attract Chinese investment and support industrial modernization.

Zafar Iqbal, Vice President of PCJCCI, underscored the importance of enhancing practical linkages between the two countries, encouraging joint ventures in sectors like engineering, renewable energy, and electric vehicles.

Salahuddin Hanif, Secretary General of PCJCCI, stressed the significance of coordination and institutional synergy in driving progress, noting the chamber’s role in facilitating investment, technology transfer, and competitiveness.

PCJCCI remains committed to structured dialogue and project development, contributing to Pakistan’s sustainable industrial growth and economic integration in the region.
