PCJCCI and Daroghawala Industry Leaders Seek Auto Parts Collaboration

Lahore: In a significant move to enhance cooperation in the auto parts sector, the Pakistan China Joint Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCJCCI) hosted a delegation from the Daroghawala Industry Owner Association, led by the Bani Group, at its secretariat on Tuesday. The meeting aimed to explore strategic partnerships with Chinese businesses and advance bilateral trade and technology exchanges.

Mian Muhammad Mansha, Chairman of the Bani Group, highlighted the need for access to advanced technology and global supply chains to elevate Pakistan’s auto parts industry. He emphasized the importance of aligning efforts with China, a leader in industrial advancement, to achieve mutual prosperity.

Zafar Iqbal, Vice President of PCJCCI, underscored the chamber’s role in fostering industrial partnerships, stressing that the visit was a proactive step towards collaboration rather than a mere courtesy call. He pledged PCJCCI’s support in helping Pakistani businesses expand both regionally and internationally.

Mahmood Arabi, Commercial Ambassador of PCJCCI, assured the delegation of full facilitation in networking with Chinese industry clusters and government agencies. He outlined potential areas for collaboration, including technology transfer, skill development, joint ventures, and export opportunities.

Amir Ali, an Executive Committee Member of PCJCCI, advocated for structured programs to unite people, technology, and capital across borders, aligning with PCJCCI’s mission to connect local industries with China’s vast industrial ecosystem.

Salahuddin Hanif, Secretary General of PCJCCI, briefed the delegation on various chamber initiatives, such as industrial matchmaking, Chinese language learning support, and guidance on cross-border legal frameworks.

Both parties agreed to establish a working group to pursue specific opportunities and plan a potential business delegation to China later this year. Discussions also included the possibility of a Memorandum of Understanding to solidify long-term cooperation, marking a pivotal step in PCJCCI’s efforts to empower local industry.
