PDMA Issues Flood Warning in Chenab, Jhelum Rivers

Lahore: The Provincial Disaster Management Authority of Punjab has issued a flood warning for the Chenab and Jhelum rivers, along with their associated streams and nullahs, effective from tomorrow.

According to Radio Pakistan, the water level at the Ganda Singh point on the Sutlej River is also anticipated to increase within the next twenty-four hours. The authority has alerted residents and relevant authorities to prepare for potential flooding scenarios.

The PDMA has also warned of urban flooding in Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, and Lahore over the next forty-eight hours due to heavy rainfall. Authorities in these cities are urged to take necessary precautions to minimize the impact on residents and infrastructure.
