PDMA Issues Heatwave Alert Across Punjab from Thursday to Monday

Lahore: The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) of Punjab has issued a heatwave alert across the province from tomorrow to Monday.

According to Radio Pakistan, temperatures in northern Punjab are expected to range between 39°C and 43°C, with a further rise likely in cities, including Lahore, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, Sargodha, Gujranwala, and Sialkot.

In Southern Punjab, temperatures may rise between 43°C and 47°C, affecting areas such as Dera Ghazi Khan, Bahawalpur, and Rahim Yar Khan.

Authorities have advised children, women, and senior citizens to take precautions, avoid unnecessary exposure to the sun, and stay hydrated.

Rescue 1122 has been put on alert to respond to cases of heatstroke and dehydration.
